Prickstop does not secure the doors themselves, but it prevents someone from triggering the central locking system with a piercing tool (e.g. screwdriver).

Even if you lock the doors differently (e.g. with chains or bolts), it still makes sense to install the Prickstop.

Why? – When someone activates the central locking system, all connected doors are opened. For example, you can also open the sliding door using the lock on the rear door.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Prickstop

Do I need Prickstop for the passenger door?

The passenger door lacks a locking cylinder, making it impossible to trigger the central locking system using this method; therefore, Prickstop is not necessary for this door.

What is Prickstop and how does it work?

The burglary protection of the Fiat Ducato and similar vehicles has a significant vulnerability: an intruder can use a sharp object to pierce the thin door sheet metal and activate the central locking system.

Prickstop effectively prevents this by reinforcing the sheet metal with an additional 1,5mm thick stainless steel plate, making piercing with hand tools significantly more difficult.

For which vehicle models is Prickstop suitable?

Prickstop is suitable for vehicles based on the Fiat Ducato from model year 2006 and all identical vehicles and motorhomes. Identical vehicles are Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper, Citroen Relay and the Opel Movano from model year 2021. The prickstop for the driver's door is also suitable for partially integrated motorhomes.

Do I need a prick stop on the rear door?

Some models have a lock on the rear door, while others do not. Prickstop is only necessary if your rear door has a lock.

Is there also a prick stop for the sliding door?

There is no lock on the sliding door, so there is no prick stop for it.

Is Prickstop also available for other vehicles?

This system is only compatible with the vehicles mentioned.
