Prickstop is indispensable!

Prickstop does not secure the door lock, but prevents someone from triggering the central locking system with a pry tool.

Also recommended for additional locking

Even if you lock the doors differently (e.g. with chains or bolts), it still makes sense to install the Prickstop.

Why? - If someone triggers the central locking system, all connected doors are opened. This means that you can also open the sliding door via the lock on the rear door, for example.

Just away for a moment? That's exactly when it happens. Prickstop is always active.

Once installed - permanently secure

Prickstop works as soon as it is installed. You never have to think about activating it again.

Only required on doors with locking cylinders

There is no locking linkage for the central locking system on handles without a locking cylinder. This means that it is not possible to trigger the central locking system at this point.

The front passenger door and the sliding door do not have a locking cylinder.

You do not need a Prickstop here!

Do I also need the Prickstop on the passenger door?

There is no lock (locking cylinder) on the front passenger door, so it is not possible to trigger the central locking with this method and no Prick Stop is necessary there.

What is Prickstop and how does it work?

The burglary protection of the Fiat Ducato and vehicles of the same design has a glaring weakness: A burglar can pierce the thin sheet metal of the door with a sharp object and then trigger the central locking system.

Prickstop effectively prevents this. The robust anti-theft protection consists of an additional 1.5 mm thick stainless steel plate that reinforces the sheet metal. This makes it much more difficult to prick the door with hand tools.

For which vehicle models is Prickstop suitable?

Prickstop is suitable for vehicles based on the Fiat Ducato from model year 2006 and all identical vehicles and motorhomes. Identical vehicles are Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper, Citroen Relay and the Opel Movano from model year 2021. The Prickstop for the driver's door is also suitable for semi-integrated motorhomes.

Is Prickstop also necessary for the Ducato 8/9/10?

The weak point still exists in the Ducato 8 and the following models (Duato 9, Ducato 10).

Do I need a prickstop on the rear door?

There are models with and without a lock on the rear door. You only need the Prickstop if you have a lock on the rear door.

Is there also a Prickstop for the sliding door?

There is no lock on the sliding door, so there is no pinch stop for it.

Is Prickstop also available for other vehicles?

This system is only compatible with the specified vehicles.

Prickstop or tailgate lock?

Both - if the lock is picked despite Prickstop, the rear door lock offers additional security.
